St Mary's Primary School is very well resourced with ICT and digital devices. From speaking with teachers and observing a range of cohorts in the past few days I have seen the range of ICT/digital devices that are used effectively and regularly in each learning space. Every class and/or cohort uses IPads on a frequent basis for a range of key learning areas. Banks of iPads are located within each learning space. Students are confident users of this technology and appear to be both engaged and on task. The iPads are predominately used within small group activities. Each classroom is equipped with a Smartboard and corresponding teacher lap top/computer. Every teacher is using the interactive whiteboards for majority of whole class instruction and whole class activities. Teachers appear to be confident with the IWB's and are using them effectively as a part of their pedagogy. One particular teacher was using the IWB to identify the WALT and WILF and to jointly construct a success criteria for the lesson with their class. The 'pod' rooms are similar to a withdrawal room and are located in the middle of each learning space. These rooms have desk top computers in them which are used by small groups at various times.
