Practises to be considered for my home school by Josie Lulham

After the past week I have many ideas that I am excited to share with my home school. Considering the context of my school, I would like to focus on beginning a process to reflect on and modify pedagogy and learning areas to be more flexible and focused on catering for 21st century learners.

This can be achieved by:

-Having a go at planning, assessing and grouping students across the stage.

-Creating space in the classroom by removing some desks to make room for a variety of learning spaces and styles of furniture. This will allow for teaching across the stage to happen more effectively.

-Create innovative lessons that use ICT technology effectively and regularly.

-Focus on effective differentiation of tasks and providing inquiry learning based activities.

-Offering GATS based activities that can be explained initially by teachers that can be continued independently by the student/s.
