Introduction

Hello my name is Erin Moores and I have been teaching for six years in both Victoria and New South Wales. I am currently the stage 1 teacher at St Johns Mullumbimby in a team teaching, open classroom with 35 students. This week I have been given the privilege to visit Star of the Sea Primary School in Cleveland. It has only been one day but I feel very motivated and have lots of great ideas and resources to take back and implement within my school. I am really looking forward to witnessing the Queensland ‘Discovery’ learning which is similar to our Inquiry cycle.  This is such a great opportunity and I am very thankful to be selected.  It has been great to engage with the other teachers and discuss what we are seeing but also what they are implementing in their schools.
